Context theory is a central topic in the field of linguistics. The research results of context theory can promote the teaching and learning of foreign languages. This thesis intends to explore the application of context in English Vocabulary Teaching in senior high school. There are a lot of problems in vocabulary learning. The way to solve the problem is to renew the teaching idea and the vocabulary teaching method.

Slang is a very informal expression of English words and idioms. Its characteristic is more vivid than ordinary language metaphor, humorous and easy, common vulgar or social forbidden words and used expressions or jargon and argot; use small group, social group. Slang is generally considered to be unable to board in good taste. However, with the development of society and economy, new concepts and new things are emerging, the English language has become more and more colloquial and popular, which makes the slang in English language is increasing and acceptable to the public. Don't put the past in good taste complex marketplace not only in today's increasingly popular English film and television, newspapers and magazines and the Internet language, and even appeared in a speech, the president of the United states.
